Safer Neighbourhoods Young Advisor

Interviews took place this week for the responsible role of Young Advisor on the Safer Neighbourhood Panel for Orpington Ward.

The interview panel were very impressed with the level of student application and the manner in which the two successful students Beth Saunders and Sadie Orsler prepared for and presented themselves at the interview, achieving a standard that far exceeded the expectations the Metropolitan Police had for interviewing people of such a young age.

They both showed excellent communication skills, reliability, local awareness and a keen interest in improving the image of young people within the community.

Beth and Sadie have committed to representing the local youth by offering a youth prospective on local crime and issues, plus ideas and initiatives on how to make the community a safer place to live.
