11th March 2010 The Priory School & The Frank Bruno Boxing Academy hosts “Round 5”

After the amazing success of previous shows 1-4, the pressure was on to make Round 5 even more thrilling.

The enthusiastic crowd watched a succession of 9 exciting bouts where the young boxers from FBBA demonstrated the skills and discipline they have learnt andprogression they have made since the last show against opponents from all over South East London.

Most improved boxer on the night Ayomi Harding took on Joe Marlin in a re-match that proved to be his most determined fight yet. After tiring slightly in the second round, he showed real grit and determination to come back in the 3rd round and go on to win his bout.

Best boxer of the night was Ben Webster; with an impressive display of fitness and skill he sealed a unanimous decision against a gutsy opponent from Bromley & Downham ABC.

The FBBA is now a recognised affiliated hubsite for the ABAE and working in partnership with the ABAE & ECABA to create a “High Performance Centre” for September 2010 which will include an “Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence” in line with existing educational programmes within the Academy.
